As designers are shfiting towards the KISS – Keep it simple stupid formula and creating Logos that are super simple and easy to understand. I want a something challenging Logo that is simple yet detailed. I know it is hard to a achieve but not impossible.

This design assignment was difficult to try to make my logo as simple yet detailed as possible. It took me a little to figure out what my company name was going to be. I decided to make it a bakery with my roommate’s name: Julianna’s Sweets and Treats. I thought light pink was a simple color and I associate pastels with bakeries for some reason. I didn’t think my logo needed more than one color so I stuck with just the pink. I also chose to add no images or anything to follow the KISS formula of being simple. The cursive font I came across gave the same feeling as the pink, so I thought between the two it was complex but not too much. I used Canva, as I did for all my design assignments, to combine everything together before uploading it to Flickr. Even with the difficulty, I enjoyed this assignment because it allowed me to use my creativity and practice graphic design.
